Q 1. 에클레시아는 어떤 모임인가요?

문자적으로 에클레시아는 헬라어로 ‘Ekklesia ‘ 밖으로부터의 불러내심을 받은 하나님의 백성들 곧 교회 라는 뜻이며,
3박 4일간 실시하는 영성 수련회를 가리키는 말로 사용됩니다.
2000년, 뉴욕 프라미스 교회 주관으로 시작된 에클레시아는
눈에 보이지 않는 하나님의 은혜와 사랑을 눈에 보이는 성도들의 섬김과 헌신을 통해 경험하고
개인과 가정의 구원과 회복, 그리고 교회의 본래 모습을 회복하는데에 목적을 둔 영성 수련회입니다.
처음부터 끝까지 성경에 근거하고(Bible-based),
성령께서 주도하시도록 배려하며(Spirit-led),
다수의 평신도 섬김이들이 진행하며(Lay-centered),

Q 1. What is Ecclesia?
The literal definition of Ecclesia comes from the Greek word ‘Ekklesia,’ meaning "the people of God called out from the world," or simply, the Church. Here, we use it to refer to a 3-night, 4-day spiritual retreat.
Started in 2000 by Promise Church in New York, ECCLESIA is a spiritual recovery retreat where all are able to experience the invisible grace and love of God through the visible service and devotion of Christ’s followers. Its purpose is to achieve the salvation and restoration of individuals and families, and to reestablish the originally intended form of the Church.
Q 2. What is the purpose of the Ecclesia retreat?
ECCLESIA is a movement of the laypersons. The program is not centered on ministers or pastors, but led by ordinary believers who prepare themselves as mature Christians and to freely use their talents and passions for the Lord.
ECCLESIA is a service movement following Jesus' example and footsteps. As Jesus demonstrated the way of true service, the program focuses on saving and restoring hearts and souls by serving.
ECCLESIA is a movement of Holy Spirit and renewal. The program solely focuses on God and, through the grace and power of the Holy Spirit, transforms participants — leading to revival and growth in the church.
Q 3. Who is the Ecclesia retreat recommended for?
Those who do not yet attend church.
Those who have attended church for a long time but have not yet experienced or have lost the joy and excitement of their spiritual life.
Those who have not yet experienced the assurance of salvation and a personal encounter with the Lord.
